Another Visa scam is moving across the country. The caller says they are calling from the Security and Fraud Department at Visa and give you a badge number, telling you your card has been flagged for an unusual purchase pattern. The caller says he needs to verify you are in possession of your card. He will ask you to turn over your card and look for some numbers. There are 7 numbers on your card, the first 4 are part of your social security number and the last 3 numbers are the security numbers that verify you are the possessor of the card. The caller will ask you to read the last 3 numbers to him. Then he will say "that is correct". DO NOT GIVE THE 3 DIGIT PIN NUMBER TO HIM, INSTEAD TELL HIM YOU WILL CALL VISA DIRECTLY FOR VERIFICATION OF THEIR CONVERSATION. REMEMBER DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION ON YOUR ACCOUNT OR DEBIT CARD OVER THE PHONE. IF YOU DID NOT MAKE THE CALL,HANG UP!
